Hyderabad: A man committed suicide after receiving a traffic challan in the Indian city of Hyderabad.
According to Indian media, a 52-year-old man named Elia, unable to pay the traffic challan in Hyderabad, ended his life.
Elia and his wife Mallama were living in Chantal Basti of IS Southern Division, a challan of Rs 10,000 was issued on Elia’s car by the traffic police.
On non-payment of the challan, the traffic police had impounded Ilia’s car, on which he suffered severe mental stress, according to the police, Ilia came home on Monday night and drank poison.
When the family took Ilia to the hospital in a critical condition, the doctors said that he had already died. It is reported that Elijah worked as a laborer and was unable to pay the sum of ten thousand.
