Washington: The treatment of every disease has a cost, but cancer is the top and most expensive treatment. Now, a survey has found that if current rates of various types of cancer continue globally, $25 trillion will be spent on its treatment by the year 2050.

According to a report published in the Journal of American Medical Association (JAMA) Oncology, this huge amount of money will be spent by all the countries of the world from 2020 to 2050 because the cancer rate is increasing and the treatment is also becoming more expensive. According to the research, out of 29 types of cancer in 204 countries, nine cancers are the most expensive to treat, on which half of the money is being spent and will be spent. These include lung, breast, colon, respiratory and digestive tract, liver, leukemia, throat and trachea cancers. However, lung cancer treatment is the most expensive in the world.

Its treatment is expected to wipe out a large portion of people’s savings and earnings, while Africa and other poor countries will have the worst impact. This is why the report calls on governments and policy makers to do extraordinary work to plan, invest, prevent and cure cancer.

In short, cancer can become an economic burden on a country and it is also a cause of death.
