The Election Commission summoned the representatives of the Ministry of Interior and Finance yesterday.
According to the announcement issued by the Election Commission, the secretaries of the two ministries have been called for a briefing tomorrow at 12:30 pm on the issue of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly elections.
Interior Secretary and Finance Secretary will brief the Election Commission.
On this occasion, the Election Commission will request the Ministry of Finance to provide funds for holding the election.
The Ministry of Interior will be asked about the availability of Army, Rangers and other agencies for security.
The statement further said that the Ministry of Interior will be asked to contact the GHQ and the Ministry of Defense to ensure the army’s election duty.
