Islamabad: A consultation between the Election Commission and the Governor will be held tomorrow to determine the date of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly elections, in which there is a strong possibility that the date of the election will come.
Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Haji Ghulam Ali wrote a letter to the Election Commission for consultation on the date of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, in which he called for consultation on March 7 or 8. .
In response to the Secretary Election Commission’s letter, the Governor informed about his availability. Haji Ghulam Ali said that on Wednesday, March 8, a consultation is going to be held with the Election Commission regarding the date of the election and after the consultation, the date of the election will be given.
Earlier, the Election Commission of Pakistan had invited the governor to visit Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on the issue of the date of elections on the orders of the Supreme Court. The Election Commission contacted the Governor regarding the date of general elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and invited him to visit the Islamabad office.
The Election Commission said that ‘your coming to the Election Commission will be an honor for us, meaningful consultation will be possible if you come here’.
On the other hand, the Secretary Election Commission has written a letter to the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in which he has been informed about the committee to be formed for the meeting. The letter states that the committee includes Secretary Election Commission, Special Secretary, DG Law.
In the letter, the Governor has been requested that ‘if possible, you should visit the Election Commission, it will be an honor for us and in case of your visit, the Chief Election Commissioner will also conduct meaningful consultations’.
