The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has expressed satisfaction over the decisions taken by Pakistan.
Sources say that the virtual talks between the officials of the IMF and the Ministry of Finance are going on, the talks between Pakistan and the IMF are progressing in a positive direction.
The State Bank has committed $10 billion in funding to Pakistan by June, for the first time without a new demand from the IMF on achieving all targets.
Finance Ministry sources say that Pakistan has done enough, there is no condition that has not been implemented.
Pakistan maintained that the IMF staff level had already achieved advance targets before the agreement.
Sources say that Pakistan has insisted to the IMF to conclude the staff level agreement as soon as possible.
Finance Ministry sources say China’s debt rollover has improved foreign exchange reserves, with another $800 million coming in in March.
The IMF’s final precondition has also been met as foreign exchange reserves improve.
