Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has said that FBR collected taxes worth Rs 527 billion 20 crore in February.
In a statement issued on social networking site Twitter, Ishaq Dar said that a 17 percent increase in tax collections was recorded in February.
He said that FBR collected revenues of 4 thousand 493 billion rupees in the first 8 months of this financial year.
The federal minister says that in the same period last year, revenues of 3 thousand 820 billion rupees were received.
Ishaq Dar says that overall, an 18 percent increase in tax collection was recorded compared to last year.
