Rawalpindi, three officials of a sensitive institution injured in firing at toll plaza

Rawalpindi: A firing incident took place at the Motorway Toll Plaza in Naseerabad police station of Rawalpindi in which three officials of the sensitive institution were injured due to bullets and one fell.

According to Express News, the personnel of the sensitive institution were fired upon by the occupants of a vehicle coming from Lahore to Islamabad and escaped leaving behind a vehicle after breaking the barrier, which was seized by the National Highway Authority and handed over to the police.

The injured have been identified as Mohammad Zeeshan, Syed Amir Shahzad and Amal Bilal, Naik Mohammad Saber who have been shifted to CMH for medical assistance. The condition of the injured is out of danger.

Police said that the accused were asked to pay toll tax on Mtag balance zero, on which they opened fire with a modern weapon and surrendered. Police and National Highway Authority arrested two suspects from the vehicle and seized modern weapons and two vehicles.

The police said that the firing was done by the accused Syed Hasnain Shah who wanted to use the M-Tag facility, the toll tax was demanded when the balance was zero, on which the accused opened fire and escaped by breaking the toll plaza barrier.

The police raided the house by registering the vehicle, from where the accused escaped, the police arrested the father of the main accused, Syed Imtiaz Shah and his brother. He was transferred to Morgah police station.

The accused are the owners of a well-known poultry business, further investigation is being done by registering separate cases against the accused in Naseerabad and Morgah police stations.
