Former Additional Director NAB Zahir Shah has been appointed as Acting Chairman NAB.
According to the notification, this step has been taken until the appointment of the new chairman.
Zahir Shah has been appointed under Section 6B of the National Accountability Act, 1999.
It should be noted that former Chairman NAB Aftab Sultan resigned from his post a few days ago.
In his farewell speech at the NAB headquarters, he said that I cannot file a false case against anyone, nor can I close a reference against anyone just on the basis that the accused is a relative of a big personality.
