Two robbers were killed in a police encounter in Korangi Industrial Area of Karachi, while a head constable was killed in the firing of the robbers.
Khawaja Ajmer Nagri and Zaman Town police arrested 4 robbers in injured condition and recovered weapons and other stolen goods in alleged encounters. 4 accomplices of the arrested robbers managed to escape.
Two robbers were killed in a police encounter near Nasir Jump Ibrahim Mosque in Korangi Industrial Area, while Head Constable Zaheer was seriously injured in the firing by the robbers. The injured officer was shifted to a private hospital on Stadium Road for medical treatment, where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment. The deceased head constable has 4 children and his father also worked in the police department.
On the other hand, Ajmer Nagri police arrested a robber and recovered pistol with ammunition, mobile phone, cash and motorcycle.
Zaman Town Police arrested 3 bandits in injured condition after an alleged encounter near Coast Guard Chowrangi. According to the Karachi Police Spokesman, the arrested suspects were identified as 22-year-old Hasan Khan son of Akram Khan, 25-year-old Shahzad Ahmed son of Saeed Gul and 28-year-old Babar Hussain son of Fida Hussain. 3 pistols, cash, a motorcycle and 6 mobile phones were recovered from the arrested accused.
