Lahore: Restructuring of Ministries and Departments has been decided in Punjab, under which downsizing of redundant, unprofitable and loss-making institutions will be done.
Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz approved the restructuring plan.
Under the plan, the institutions that do the same work will be merged, reducing the size of the ministries and facilitating the execution of government affairs.
Restructuring and downsizing will make the performance of institutions and public service process simple, easy and fast while restructuring and downsizing will save billions of rupees.
A major reduction in the annual expenditure of the government will also create fiscal space.
