Karachi: Despite the protests of the citizens and the intense heat, the electricity load-shedding continues.

Due to the scorching heat and non-supply of electricity, the citizens of Miran Naka and Shah Faisal Colony finally had to resort to protest, due to which the traffic system in the affected areas was disrupted and the citizens faced severe hardships.

According to the traffic police, on Thursday afternoon, residents of the area protested against the non-supply of electricity and water in front of Pankha Hotel on both sides of Lyari Meran Naka towards Sher Shah. Diverted towards Mirza Adam Khan Road and towards Bakra Pedi, besides traffic coming from Sher Shah was diverted towards Gulbai.

On the other hand, on Thursday evening Shah Faisal Colony No. 2 Rita Plot Bagh Korangi Road, residents of the area also protested against the non-supply of electricity and water. From Chowrangi to Dawood Chowrangi and from Shah Faisal Colony No. 2 to Azimpura.

However, due to the protests at both the places, the flow of traffic was severely affected and the traffic system was disrupted and queues of vehicles were formed.

The citizens said that there are daily protests in the city on the non-supply of electricity due to which not only law and order but also traffic flow is severely affected, ordinary citizens are also facing difficulties while they themselves. are also affected by power outages in their areas.

On this occasion, the protestors said that neither electricity nor water is available in the houses in the hot summer, after all, at whose door should they go and cry, sometimes the electricity is being cut off in the name of scheduled load shedding, sometimes it is due to maintenance and Electricity is being cut off on other pretexts including cable faults which should be taken seriously by Nepra authorities.
