Karachi: As a result of firing in Gulshan Iqbal, a woman in a car died. According to the police, initially the incident seems to be a target killing.
Police officials say that the incident of the killing of the woman in the car is not due to aerial firing or a bullet coming from an unknown direction. During the initial investigation, the firing incident is a target killing. The police also obtained the CCTV footage of the incident, in which the accused on a motorcycle can be seen firing at the vehicle and fleeing.
The police have registered a case of murder of a woman in a car against an unknown accused in the complaint of the brother.
An investigation is underway into the incident of the death of a 26-year-old woman, Asia, wife of Abdul Samad, as a result of firing on a vehicle in Block 6 of Gulshan Iqbal police station on Sunday night. The incident is not an aerial firing or firing from an unknown direction. Police officials have claimed that the female passenger in the vehicle has been targeted.
The case of murder was registered in the complaint of Abdullah Afzal Baig, the brother of the victim. According to the plaintiff’s case, on May 26, he came to his grandmother’s house in Gulshan Iqbal Block 6 Samira Square along with his wife, sister and niece. Gulshan Iqbal was explaining about the car around Block 6 Rum Jhum Shopping and driving the car himself after dropping his wife and niece at his grandmother’s house and teaching him how to drive at the request of his sister Asia.
According to the plaintiff’s case, at the same time, my aunt called from home saying that we are leaving to go home. When I reached Muhammad Hussain Road, sister Asiya said that she will drive from here in the car. When we reached Gulshan Iqbal Block 7 Government Girls Secondary School, an accused on a motorcycle opened fire. The bullet hit sister Asia’s face on the right side while breaking the car window and exited from the left side. My sister was seriously injured while the motorcyclist fled the scene.
The sister was immediately taken to the nearest Ibn Sina hospital, where the doctor confirmed that the sister was dead. Police officials say that further investigation is being conducted as to why the woman in the vehicle was targeted.
