The Attorney General assured the court on behalf of the state and law enforcement agencies

Islamabad High Court has issued a written order to hear the case related to missing persons.

The Attorney General assured the court by state and law enforcement agencies and under tracking that every person who is alleged to be missing will be reunited with his family.

The court made the Attorney General’s assurance a part of the written order, according to which the Attorney General said that the Ministerial Committee on Enforced Disappearances has prepared recommendations, after the approval of the Cabinet, the recommendations will be submitted to the court.

According to the Attorney General, the problem of missing persons requires a political solution. The Attorney General assured that there has been a high-level discussion on resolving the missing persons issue once and for all.

The petitioner’s lawyer Iman Mazari gave the list of three missing students to the Attorney General, the court expects to inform the court about the three missing persons at the next hearing.

The order further said that the DGIG requested for a committee comprising DGs of intelligence agencies on missing persons, which was approved, ISI, MI, IB to its second high-level officer in the committee.
