Karachi: The Sindh High Court has ordered to publish pictures in print and electronic media for the recovery of 13 missing persons from different areas of Karachi.

According to Express News, in front of a two-member bench headed by Justice Nimatullah Phalphoto, the applications related to the recovery of more than 13 missing persons from different areas of Karachi were heard.

The court remarked that the defense secretary should inform the court about the steps taken for the recovery of civilian Kamran and others. The court expressed concern over the non-recovery of missing MQM activists Javed and Yasin for 10 years.

Justice Nimatullah Phalphotu remarked that traditional reports are being submitted by the police, it could not be determined in 10 years, they have gone by themselves or are forcibly missing. The court sought fresh travel history from FIA. The court ordered publication of photographs of missing citizens in print and electronic media.

Elderly women gave decades in the court and said that we don’t want anything, only the children should be returned. SSP Abdul Rahim Shirazi said that letters were written to the relevant ministries regarding Yasin, but there was no response.

The court sought progress reports in the second week of August. The court ordered the police, rangers and others to take effective measures to recover the missing persons.
