Islamabad: Pakistan’s historic Lunar Mission (IQ-Q) will be launched into space from China on Friday.

Based in Islamabad Institute of Space and Technology According to (IST), the satellite iCube-Q has been developed by IST in collaboration with China’s Shanghai University and Pakistan’s National Space Agency Sparco.

The iCube-Q orbiter is equipped with two optical cameras to image the lunar surface.

Following the successful test of the satellite, iCube-Q has been linked to the Cheng’e 6 mission, which will be launched into space on Friday, May 3.

Cheng’e 6 is the sixth in a series of Chinese lunar exploration missions.

The launch process will be telecast live on IST website and IST social media.
