Peshawar: During continuous and heavy rains in Pakhtunkhwa, 13 people, including women and children, were buried due to the collapse of roofs, while the bodies of 2 people were recovered.

According to Express News, the roof of a house collapsed due to landslides in Khal Luqman Banda area of ​​Lower Dir, 4 people were buried under the debris. On receiving the information, the rescue disaster vehicle, rescue ambulance and rescue teams reached the spot and taking action, pulled out the people buried under the debris and shifted them to the hospital.

According to initial reports, 4 people were buried under the debris due to the collapse of the house, in which the bodies of 2 people, including the woman, were taken out and shifted to the hospital. Rescue operations are underway to pull out other people buried under the debris.

Meanwhile, in another incident of roof collapse in Khyber region, 9 people including 5 children and 4 women were buried under the debris. According to rescue sources, efforts are being made to evacuate 9 people buried under the debris due to the collapse of the roof of the house near Frontier Road.

It should be noted that heavy rains are continuing in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa including Dir, due to which the rivers have overflowed and Panjkora river has high level of flood, due to which shops, hotels and communication roads are all exposed to flood. have gone and roads have been closed for traffic, long queues of vehicles have formed at many places.

According to reports, passengers and tourists spent the night awake in the vehicles. According to local sources, a person in a vehicle was swept away in the flash flood in Shamshi Khan, and the search is on. Due to the flood situation, the electricity system has also been disrupted.
