Peshawar: Heavy rain is continuing in Pakhtunkhwa, during which water entered the houses in the low-lying areas.
The Department of Meteorology had indicated the possibility of continued heavy rains with thunder across the province from the day of Eid-ul-Fitr to April 15.
The provincial capital is also experiencing heavy rain since 1 o’clock last night with thunder. According to the Meteorological Department, 9 mm of rain has been recorded in Peshawar so far.
Due to the rain, the water of the rivers and canals started flowing in the roads and streets, which has increased the hardships of the people and affected the traffic. In Peshawar, water entered houses in low-lying areas. Streets and roads are presenting a pond scene and citizens are facing difficulties.
Due to the Eid-ul-Fitr holiday, Peshawar’s roads are light in traffic, but outing families and others have to face inconvenience. Rescue 1122 and PDMA have not received any financial or loss of life due to rain.
