Karachi: An officer of a sensitive institution who was injured in firing on resistance to robbery near the limits of Site B police station in Kemari district of Shahr Quaid died after five days of treatment.
According to the details, Saad, an officer of the sensitive agency, was seriously injured in the firing of bandits near the limits of Site B police station, Saad, who was shifted to a private hospital in critical condition, where he succumbed to his injuries today.
SHO Site B says that the officer of the sensitive organization Saad Sheikh was posted as company commander in Hub who was going to the highway to break his fast via Gulbai on 31-3-2024 when Saad Sheikh’s motorcycle broke down on the way. Earlier, at around 6 o’clock, the armed accused tried to snatch the motorcycle from Saad Sheikh and on resisting, Saad Sheikh was injured by shooting three to four bullets.
SHO Site B Hayat Khan further said that two armed suspects on a motorcycle tried to resist robbery from the officer of the sensitive institution, during which the accused also saw weapons with the officer of the sensitive institution and then Saad on resistance. Sheikh was seriously injured who was immediately shifted to the hospital and then he was treated in the hospital for five days.
After being hit by bullets, the officer of the sensitive institution was shifted to the Trauma Senad Civil Hospital where a four-hour operation was performed, one of the kidneys was disabled due to the bullet after which the doctors removed one of the kidneys. After which he was shifted to CMH Hospital on April 1. According to doctors, Major Saad was shot four times.
A case of the incident was registered in 75/24 Site B police station, but till now the law enforcement agencies have failed to arrest the accused. Major Saad Shaikh is 29 years old and has been performing his duties since December 2021.
It should be noted that the number of civilians killed for resisting robbery has reached 59 this year.
