Peshawar: The matter of the Senate election in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa got tangled in a legal battle, the newly elected members could not be sworn in on certain seats, whether the Senate elections will be held tomorrow as per the Election Commission schedule or not, the matter remained a mystery.
The Election Commission has also left the decision regarding whether or not to hold the Senate election to tomorrow’s situation, the election staff for the Senate election will go to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly and decide whether or not to hold the election.
Elections for 11 vacant Senate seats in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be held on Tuesday as per the schedule. Due to the non-passing of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly to declare the House as a polling station, the election will be held in the Jirga Hall of the Assembly. If decided, polling will be held from 9 am to 4 pm.
After the Sunni Unity Council did not get specific seats, the opposition parties got 26 seats for women and 4 seats for minorities in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly. Ordered to take oath from the newly elected members.

On the other hand, the Election Commission of Pakistan has given a decision on the request of women members and said that if the successful members are not sworn in before the Senate election, then the Senate election can be postponed.
Tehreek-e-Insaf has filed an application in the court against the decision of the Election Commission, while the speaker has also approached the court regarding the order to convene a meeting regarding the oath of the newly elected members, which will be heard tomorrow.
According to the schedule, no decision could be taken regarding the holding of the Senate election tomorrow. According to Election Commission sources, the polling staff will go to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly as per the schedule and decide whether or not to hold the election there according to the situation. will go
On the other hand, the decision will also be awaited on the petition filed by the PTI members and the speaker of the assembly in the court.
