Peshawar: In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, it has been decided to restore free treatment facilities for all citizens under health card from 1st Ramadan.
According to Express News, in a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur, it has been decided to restore free treatment for 100 percent of the population of the province under the health card from the 1st of Ramadan. The meeting was attended by representatives of State Life Insurance besides senior officials.
On the instructions of the Chief Minister, five billion rupees were immediately released to the State Life Insurance Company to restore free treatment under the health card.
During the meeting, Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur said that after law and order, the welfare of the people is the main priority of the provincial government, health card is an important plan for public welfare, it will be continued in any case.
He said that funds will be provided on priority basis for payment of State Life arrears.
The Chief Minister further said that necessary reforms will be made to ensure transparency in this scheme so that maximum benefits reach the people.
