Islamabad: Islamabad High Court has fixed the petition filed by the citizen against the unannounced shutdown of social media platform X across the country.
According to the details, an application has been filed in the Islamabad High Court through lawyers on behalf of the citizen, in which it has been requested that the court order to end X (Twitter) shutdown and fully restore the service.
The petitioner contended that the unannounced ban on Twitter since February 17, the continued shutdown of the social media platform is a violation of Article 19. PTA and Ministry of Information have been made parties in the petition.
According to the cause list issued by the registrar of the Islamabad High Court, Chief Justice Amir Farooq will hear the application tomorrow. Notices have been issued to the concerned parties in this regard.
