Jamaat-e-Islami and Tehreek-e-Insaf challenged the results of the National and Provincial Assembly constituencies in the Sindh High Court

Karachi: The success of MQM Pakistan leader Mustafa Kamal and Farooq Sattar, who won seats in the general elections, was challenged in the Sindh High Court.

PTI-backed independent candidate Dawa Khan from NA-242 challenged MQM leader Mustafa Kamal’s seat. According to the petitioner, Dawa Khan had won the election under Form 45 but Mustafa Kamal won in Form 47.

Aftab Jahangir, an independent candidate of PTI from NA-244, challenged the victory of MQM leader Farooq Sattar.

Independent candidate Attaullah challenged the election results of NA 245, MQM’s Hafeezuddin had won from the NA seat.

According to the petitioner Attaullah, I was successful with 38,000 votes in Form 45 and Hafeezuddin got only 15,000 votes, but the results were changed in Form 47 and the fourth ranked candidate Hafeezuddin was declared successful. It is requested that Form 47 be declared null and void.

Jamaat-e-Islami has also challenged the results of four constituencies of the provincial assembly.

Junaid Makati from PS 104, Mohammad Ahmed from PS 124, Mohammad Akbar from PS 123 and Nusratullah from PS 126 have challenged the success of MQM candidates.

Similarly, the victory of Kadir Patel of PPP 243 from NA was also challenged. Kadir Patel’s victory was challenged by independent candidate Shujaat Ali Advocate. According to the petitioner my achievement as per form 45 was converted to form 47.
