Karachi: Caretaker Information Minister Mohammad Ahmad Shah has said that we have information that some miscreants are planning terrorism.
While giving a briefing regarding the Apex Committee meeting in the Sindh Assembly Building, the caretaker Provincial Minister for Information Muhammad Ahmad Shah said that representatives of all agencies including the top leadership were present in the Apex Committee today. In the Apex Committee, no issue was discussed regarding the termination of mobile service. No one will be allowed to take the law into their hands on election day.
Information Minister Mohammad Ahmad Shah further said that there is zero tolerance on display of weapons. They will also arrest and file an FIR on display of weapons. Ballot papers will also be distributed in Karachi from tomorrow. Karachi, Matiari, Sanghar, Shikarpur are sensitive districts. There have been reports in the Apex Committee that some people are planning terrorism. Ready to deal with any terrorist incident. The border beyond Balochistan is too long for terrorists to come from.
He said that a control room will be established in the headquarters of each division. The Director will be present in the Information Control Room. The information department will activate the election cell from tomorrow. The news of the entire Sindh will be available from the election cell. Paramedical staff will be present at all times. Army deployment has been completed. Police, Rangers and then Army will be in touch between them, strictly instructed that the ballot papers will be fully protected in the return, our focus will be more in the sensitive districts.
Ahmed Shah said that temporary polling stations are being constructed in the surrounding areas of Kacha. The ballot papers have reached the district headquarters. The raw intelligence operation has been completed. Pakistan’s armed forces, government, agencies are all on the same page. Not only for election day, but also after that there will be red alert. There will be a peaceful election. If any enemy does not take advantage after the election, they will be alert for that too.
