The deceased drowned in the drain at some point during the rain and the body got stuck in the drain near Baldiya No. 2, which was flowing in the drain.
Karachi: The drowned body of a 45-year-old unknown person was found in the drain of Baldia Town No. 2, while a young man died due to electrocution in different areas of the city and two people were injured due to the collapse of the wall.
The drowned body of a 45-year-old unidentified man was found in the drain of Baldia Town No. 2 of Site B police station. SH Osite B Muhammad Masood said that the deceased probably drowned in the drain at some point during the rain and the body got stuck in the drain near Baldiya No. 2, which was flowing in the drain.
He said that nothing was found with the deceased person that could identify him.
A person was electrocuted near Jetline Badam Bakery in Lines area and was immediately taken to Jinnah Hospital where doctors confirmed his death after examination.
The deceased has been identified as 19-year-old Dilawar, who is said to have been electrocuted by an electric wire during the rain.
Meanwhile, 2 people were injured as 65-year-old Junaid and 35-year-old Waseem were injured when the wall of Kashmir Road China Park fell in Firozabad area.
