Supreme Court: Spontaneous notice case against harassment of journalists scheduled for hearing

Islamabad: The Supreme Court has fixed the case of automatic notice against harassment of journalists for hearing.

According to the roster released by the Registrar of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, a three-member bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faiz Isa will hold the hearing on Monday. The Supreme Court took suo motu notice in 2021.

Earlier Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faiz Isa took notice of the declaration of Press Association and High Court Journalist Association and summoned the presidents of both associations to his chamber.

After which Mian Aqeel Afzal, Imran Waseem, Fayyaz Mehmood met with the Chief Justice and Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Qazi Faiz Isa told that I am fixing the case related to journalists on Monday, tell your requests in the court.
