Karachi: The Sindh Home Department has given a clean chit to Dr. Asim Hussain, Anees Qaim Khani, Qadir Patel and others in the case of terrorism.
According to Express News, a case related to the treatment of terrorists was heard before the Special Anti-Terrorism Court of Karachi. The court issued notices to the parties on the application filed in the case, while the Sindh Home Department submitted an application to withdraw the case.
The Sindh Home Department said in the application that no witnesses were found against Dr. Asim Hussain and others, the investigation officer had classified the case as A-class even in the initial stages due to lack of evidence, the case against the accused should be terminated under Section 494 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
The court issued notices to the parties on the request of the Home Department and sought their response in the second week of March.
It should be remembered that the case of treating terrorists in Ziauddin Hospital was registered in 2015 in the case of Rangers. Dr. Asim Hussain, Anees Qaim Khani, Qadir Patel, Waseem Akhtar, Rauf Siddiqui, Usman Muazzam and Saleem Shehzad were named in the case, while one of the named accused MQM leader Saleem Shehzad has died.
