Karachi: Azizabad police arrested 3 accused who demanded extortion of 2 crore rupees from the businessman.
According to the police officials, the arrested accused were arrested after technical and human intelligence based operation, the arrested accused had fired at the businessman’s car. The accused had demanded Rs 2 crore extortion from Umar Ziauddin, the owner of a dyeing factory in the limits of Azizabad. He did the firing if he and his father’s life is dear, then he should pay Rs 2 crore ransom.
On the timely information of the businessman, the Azizabad police registered a case 861/2023 under Sections 384, 385 and 25 of the Telegraph Act in the Azizabad police station and started the investigation. On the basis of technical and human intelligence based, the police arrested 3 suspects, Muhammad Amir son of Ghulam Qasim, Fida Hussain son of Ghulam Nazak and Muhammad Haji son of Muhammad Rafiq, who were demanding extortion from the businessman and seized the weapon used in the incident from which they fired. 3 different smartphones used for extortion were also recovered.
According to the police officials, during the investigation, the arrested accused revealed that the mother and sister of the accused Muhammad Amir used to work in the house of the businessman, from which they gathered information about the businessman. Never arrested before, before the shooting, Fida and Haji had the businessman’s rake and fired at the businessman to scare him. The arrested accused used 3 SIMs registered in the name of a person named Saghir to demand extortion.
