The All India Tennis Association has contacted the Pakistan Tennis Federation for obtaining visas on the issue of holding the India-Pakistan Davis Cup tie.
India has sent 18 names to the Pakistan Tennis Federation for the Davis Cup tie, the Indian list for visas includes 7 players and 11 officials.
The names of 7 players including captain Rohit Rajpal have been given for visas while All India Tennis Association President Anil Kumar Jain’s name is also included in the delegation.
Other officials, including the secretary of the All India Tennis Association, are also keen to get visas.
It should be remembered that the ITF rejected India’s appeal to hold the tie at a neutral venue and now the two-day Davis Cup tie between Pakistan and India is scheduled from February 3 in Islamabad.
It should be noted that the Pakistan team has been announced for the Davis Cup tie against India. Easam-ul-Haq will be the captain of the national team.
