Sehun Sharif: Gold and jewelery worth more than one crore were stolen from the dargah of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar, a well-known Sufi saint in Sehun area of Jamshoro district of Sindh.
According to the details, gold given as an offering worth Rs 1 crore 23 lakh 72 thousand 863 was stolen from Dargah Lal Shahbaz Qalandar during one month.
Taking notice of the news of theft in the Dargah, Caretaker Minister for Endowments Umar Sommer suspended the manager of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar’s shrine and also directed to form a committee for investigation.
Apart from this, the caretaker provincial minister also ordered to file a case against the manager of the shrine and send the case to anti-corruption and recommended to recover the stolen gold and jewelery from the accused.

He said that orders have also been issued to immediately stop the salary and pension of the Dargah manager. The spokesperson of the Awqaf Department said that the Dargah manager Zubair Baloch accepted his crime during the investigation and also confessed to the theft.
After this major incident of theft, the caretaker government has also decided to investigate the managers of all the Dargahs established in Sindh. Sources say that Zubair Baloch was appointed as the manager of the dargah for many years and the key of the offering box was also with him.
