The President Trophy Cricket Tournament will start tomorrow in Karachi, the 8-team event will now be played between 7 teams.
Sui Southern Gas Company refused to participate in the event after a gap of more than 4 years despite assurances.
7 departmental teams are participating in the President Trophy First Class Cricket Tournament.
PCB Director Domestic Nadeem Khan told Geo News that SSGC had assured their team’s participation in the event 2 days ago but again refused a day before the start of the event.
All 22 matches of the tournament, which will continue till January 31, will be played in 3 different grounds in Karachi.
After the league matches, the final between the top 2 teams will be played from January 27 to 31. The President’s Trophy was last played in 2018-19.
