The Turkish Football Association suspended all leagues after a referee was punched on the ground by a club president.
The president of the club, Farooq Koka, has resigned from his post, apologizing to the referee community for this act.
In the match between the Turkish club Ankara Gökçe and Risespor at the Eriman Stadium, the team of Ankara Gökçe was leading by one goal after 90 minutes of the match. 7 minutes of injury time was given, in the last minute of which, Risespor equalized the goal.
This displeased Anfra Goko’s boss Farooq Goko and he hit the referee with a strong punch. Referee Balil Mailer was further injured in the stampede, after which he was taken to the hospital for medical attention, but his condition is now out of danger.
