On the first day of the two-day scenario match in the ongoing training camp of the national Test squad in Rawalpindi for the tour of Australia, the team management gave different scenarios to the players at the Pindi Cricket Stadium.
The bowlers were given step-by-step spells, the batsmen were given a batting plan according to the situation. By the end of the first day, the batsmen had scored 298 runs.
Opener Saeem Ayub was out for 35 and Abdullah Shafiq scored three runs. Captain Shan Masood retired after scoring 101 runs and Babar Azam scored 71 runs, while Saud Shakeel is at the crease with 44 runs and Sarfaraz Ahmed with 19 runs.
Pakistani bowlers bowled 63 overs on the first day of the scenario match. Khurram Shahzad and Aamir Jamal took one wicket each.
On the other hand, Osama Mir, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Nawaz and Usman Qadir were trained in the net session under the supervision of spin bowling coach Saeed Ajmal. Fast bowler Wasim Jr has also joined the camp.
