Former national team player Mohammad Yusuf has been appointed as the head coach of Pakistan U-19 cricket team.
Muhammad Yusuf’s first assignment will be the U-19 Asia Cup in UAE from December 8 to 17 and the U-19 World Cup in Sri Lanka from January 13 to February 4.
Muhammad Yusuf has previously held the responsibility of batting coach in Pakistan Cricket Team and National Cricket Academy.
Muhammad Yusuf is one of Pakistan’s most successful batsmen, having scored 7530 Test runs and 9720 ODI runs in his career from 1998 to 2010, making him the highest scorer in Test cricket in a calendar year (2006) with 1788 runs. Honored.
In this regard, Muhammad Yusuf says that I am grateful to Zaka Ashraf, Chairman of the Management Committee of Pakistan Cricket Board, for being entrusted with this responsibility, this responsibility is a source of honor for me.
He further said that I am looking forward to fulfill my responsibility in U-19 Asia Cup and U-19 World Cup, both these tournaments are important for the development of the players and hopefully we will show our best performance in them.
Mohammad Yousuf also says that he has worked with Pakistan’s senior team so he will bring his experience to the Under-19 setup to provide them with an environment where they can grow to the international level.
