Another world record of Virat Kohli is hidden from the eyes of the world

Virat Kohli made another world record by scoring a century in the match against New Zealand which remained hidden from the eyes of the world.

India defeated New Zealand by 70 runs in the first semi-final of the World Cup played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

In this match, Virat Kohli scored the 50th century of his career while playing an innings of 117 runs.

Along with this century, he also broke the world record of scoring the most centuries held by legendary Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar.

Sachin Tendulkar scored 49 centuries in his ODI career.

Not only this, during his innings, Virat Kohli also became the highest run-scorer in a World Cup in the ODI format.

He broke Tendulkar’s world record for most runs in a mega event during this innings.

Sachin Tendulkar scored 673 runs in the 2003 mega event, but Virat Kohli has so far scored 701 runs with possibly one match to go.

It should be noted that Australia’s Matthew Hayden is on the third place in this list. He scored 659 runs in the 2007 World Cup and played a key role in Australia winning the World Cup.
