The International Cricket Council (ICC) has issued an explanatory statement on the change of pitch in the semi-final between India and New Zealand in the World Cup 2023.
In a statement, the ICC said that the one-day World Cup is a long event and pitch changes are normal.
The ICC said that the pitch change in the mega event has happened many times before, this move is actually a normal thing.
The ICC statement added that the change of pitch before the semi-final was done on the recommendation of the Ground Curator and the host nation.
The ICC also said that the pitch change for the big match between India and New Zealand was in the knowledge of our pitch consultant.
