Spokesperson of the Ministry of Health Dr. Nadeem Jan says that the fifth case of polio this year has been reported in Karachi.
Spokesperson of the Ministry of Health says that polio virus has been confirmed in a 31-month-old child in East District of Karachi, the affected child belongs to Union Council Gujru.
He has told that the fourth case of this year was also reported from Union Council Gujru, now after the recent case, the number of polio cases in Pakistan this year has increased to 5.
The spokesman of the Ministry of Health further said that polio targets children with low immunity, working together with partners in the fight against polio.
He has also said that the government is ensuring all necessary measures to eradicate polio, high quality polio campaign is being organized in high risk areas.
