The PSX benchmark 100 index closed down 248 points at 41,078.
During the business day, the 100 index remained in the band of 593 points while the lowest level of the index today was 41 thousand 26 points.
Deals of 14 crore shares were settled at 7 billion 43 crore rupees in the share market.
Similarly, the market capitalization of PSX decreased by 43 billion rupees to 6 thousand 442 billion rupees.
