New Zealand washed the Pakistani bowlers

Several New Zealand batsmen, including captain Williamson, who returned from injury, batted brilliantly against Pakistan.

New Zealand made the highest score of any team against Pakistan in the World Cup.

Earlier in the same ground, Australia had scored 367 runs against Pakistan while Sri Lanka had scored 344 runs against Pakistan on October 10.

New Zealand also held the record for most fours in a World Cup match, with the Kiwis hitting 46 fours against Pakistani bowlers.

Earlier, South Africa had hit 45 fours against Sri Lanka in the same event.

Performance of Pakistan bowlers

In the match, Shaheen Afridi, Hasan Ali, Muhammad Wasim and Haris Rauf bowled 10 overs while Iftikhar Ahmed bowled 8 and Agha Salman bowled 2 overs.

Shaheen Afridi could not get any wicket by giving 90 runs while Hasan Ali got 1 wicket by giving 82 runs.

Iftikhar Ahmed scored 55 runs and Haris Rauf scored 85 runs and got one wicket each.

Muhammad Wasim took 3 wickets by giving 60 runs while Agha Salman could not take any wicket.
