An outbreak of unknown pathogens broke out in the ICU of the Medicine Ward of Civil Hospital, Quetta.
According to the spokesman of the health department, PCR tests were conducted on 18 people in the hospital, the test report found evidence of 8 patients suffering from Congo virus.
The spokesman has said that 5 doctors are also included in the affected patients, further investigations are underway in this regard.
Waseem Baig, the spokesperson of Civil Hospital, says that 100 medical staff caring for patients have been affected by the outbreak.
He has informed that the teams of Health Directorate are working to control the situation.
The spokesperson also said that samples are being tested in the lab to identify pathogens.
