Pakistan Muslim League-N Secretary General Ahsan Iqbal has said that the census was approved by consensus in the meeting of the Council of Common Interests.
Talking to Geo News program today with Shahzeb Khanzada, he said that at that time all the parties knew that when they notify the census, the Election Commission will delimit the constituencies in the light of the new census.
He further said that there was no talk of conducting elections in 90 days in the meeting of the Council of Common Interests and no assurance was given.
Ahsan Iqbal said that this matter has been challenged in the Supreme Court, then it will be clear from there whether constituencies are needed after the census.
