Adults who live alone have a higher risk of dying from cancer, a new study has found.
According to a study conducted by researchers at the American Cancer Society, American adults who live alone have a 32 percent higher risk of dying from cancer than those who live with other people.
According to research, these risks are higher in men and 38 percent of adult men who live alone die of cancer, while the rate is lower in women and 30 percent of women who live alone die from the disease.
The author of this study, Dr. Hyun Joong Lee, who is the principal scientist of the American Cancer Society’s Cancer Disparity Research, says that especially the data on middle-aged adults found that among people aged 45 to 64 years. This rate is up to 43 percent.
According to them, due to isolation, the risks of contracting and dying from this disease are higher than those who live with other people.
