Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi met Sindh Caretaker Chief Minister Justice (Rtd) Maqbool Baqir in Islamabad.
During the meeting of the two chief ministers, it was decided to approach the federal government for stabilization of cotton prices.
It has been agreed in the meeting that farmers in Sindh and Punjab will be properly compensated for their crops.
Speaking on the occasion, Mohsin Naqvi said that a request will be made to the Prime Minister for the purchase of cotton from the Trading Corporation.
The Caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab says that the farmers of Sindh and Punjab should not sell the cotton crop cheaply, they will not let the hard work of the farmers go to waste.
Mohsin Naqvi also said that Punjab and Sindh will take all necessary steps together.
