The target of wheat sowing in Punjab has been set at 1 crore 60 lakh acres.
The spokesperson of Punjab Agriculture Department has said that 2 crore 56 lakh metric tons of wheat is the production target.
He said that farmers have been given a subsidy of Rs 1500 per bag on certified seed bags.
The spokesperson also said that 10,000 demonstration plots will be set up for awareness of modern farming methods.
