Shoaib Malik, the former captain of the Pakistan cricket team, has said that Babar Azam needs to be trusted for the World Cup 2023.
Talking to media in Karachi, Shoaib Malik said that Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has given NOC to Sindh Premier League to promote young players.
He said that Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf and Naseem Shah had become the bowling duo, unfortunately Naseem Shah is no longer a part of the squad.
The former captain added that the management should have given other bowlers a chance to adjust, we all have our hopes pinned on the Pakistan team.
He said that captain Babar Azam needs to be given confidence, the whole nation is praying that Pakistan will perform well.
Shoaib Malik also said that Saud Shakeel is the best option as a batsman.
