The jury, sitting in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, said that the two figures made extraordinary progress to develop a vaccine during the current great threat to human health.
Katalin Kariko is a professor at Sagan University in Hungary, and he did Nobel Prize-winning research with Drew Weissman at the University of Pennsylvania in the United States.
