Karachi: Accelerating steps to sell the national airline, the Privatization Commission barred PIA from any new deal.
The sale or bifurcation of PIA will be completed by early 2024.
PIA will not enter into any long-term contracts till March 2024. PIA has also been barred from acquiring aircraft on lease.
According to airline sources, the future planning will be done only after the sale of PIA.
