In the Asian Games men’s team squash, Pakistan qualified for the semi-finals by defeating India two to one.
Nasir Iqbal and Noor Zaman won their matches for Pakistan in the match against India.
Asian Games Squash match between Pakistan and India was sensational, Pakistan’s Noor Zaman and India’s Abhay Singh faced each other for the first match.
Noor Zaman won the 51-minute contest three-to-one, with scores of 8-11, 12-10, 8-11 and 8-11.
In the second match, Asim Khan and Saruv Ghoshal faced each other, in this match, the Indian player won three-zero against Asim of Pakistan.
Saroo’s victory over Asim leveled the match at 1-1, after which Nasir Iqbal defeated Mahesh Mangunkar in the decider.
The match between Nasir and Mahesh lasted for 58 minutes in which the Pakistani player won 3-1.
The scores of Nasir’s victory in the deciding match were 6-11, 11-13, 9-11 and 8-11.
Earlier today, Pakistan also defeated Singapore by 3-0 while yesterday, Pakistan won matches against Nepal and Qatar.
In the final group match, Pakistan will face Kuwait on Thursday.
