On the occasion of the first edition of Sindh Premier League (SPL) in Karachi, former captain Javed Miandad, Shahid Afridi, Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab, Chairman SPL Arif Malik along with former Provincial Minister Nasir Hussain specially attended. The six-team event will be played at the National Stadium Cricket Arena from December 14.
The curtain raiser of the first edition of the Sindh Premier League was held at a local hotel in Karachi, announcing the dates for the first edition of the SPL. The six-team event will be played from December 14 to 25 at the National Stadium Cricket Arena.
Chairman SPL Arif Malik said that 10,000 children have registered for the talent hunt event.
He said that former South African cricketer Harschel Gibbs will be the mentor of Hyderabad Bahadur, another franchise in touch with Muralidharan.
Former provincial minister Nasir Hussain Shah says that after a long time of effort, PCB has given permission for the event.
On this occasion, Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab said that such activities are necessary for a healthy environment.
He further said that through the platform of SPL, players of Sindh can reach top level cricket.
