Umar Khalid won the boys elite category event in S Junior Golf League held in Karachi.
Players in the age group of 6 to 21 years participated in this championship held at DHA Golf Club.
The S Junior Golf League was held for the first time in Karachi, with the aim of encouraging young golfers and finding future talent for golf.
The Boys Elite featured golfers between the ages of 18 and 21.
Pakistan’s famous amateur golfer, 19-year-old Umar Khalid, won the event with a score of 4 under par.
In this 18-hole event, Umar Antasar was second with 4 over par and 18-year-old Haider Bilal was third.
In Girls Elite, Daniya Saeed stood first and Abiah Saeed stood second.
The Albatross category between 14 and 18 years was won by 17-year-old Hamza Azam with a score of 2 over par, with Jameel Khan second and Abdullah Raja third.
13-year-old Abdullah Bilal won the Eagles category of 10 to 14-year-old golfers, Ismail finished second and Rafi third in this category.
The birdie category for players aged 6 to 10 years was won by 10-year-old Behzad Murtaza, with Mustafa Maqbool second.
Dr. Asma Shami, the founder of Ace Junior League, said that the purpose of the event is to encourage young golfers and to find and prepare golfers for the future. She wants to take this event to other cities as well.
