Suspected monkeypox has been diagnosed in a patient who arrived in Karachi from Sharjah. Earlier, three people who arrived at Karachi Airport from Libya were tested negative for suspected monkeypox.
According to the spokesperson of the health department, the three persons have been kept in quarantine as a precaution.
The surveillance team of the Sindh Health Department conducted an operation at the Karachi Airport, during which a passenger from Sharjah was diagnosed with symptoms of suspected monkeypox.
According to Sindh Health Department, the suspected patient is suffering from cold, body pain and itching from shoulder to waist. Which has been immediately quarantined at the Infectious Diseases Center of the Department of Health.
Two days ago, 3 people who arrived at Karachi Airport were suspected of having monkey pox virus, but today their blood samples have come back negative.
According to the instructions of the doctors, the three persons are currently kept in quarantine, some more tests are pending, if the report comes negative, they will be sent home.
